It iz me, Batman da rectory doggo and I iz wearing green (At least I tink it iz green. I iz color blind)! I iz wearing green becauz dis week iz da feast dayz o St. Patrick and St. Joseph (It iz a little known fact dat I iz o BOTH Irish and Italian descent). But dis weekend, my daddo iz wearing PINK, aldough HE sayz it iz rose! Da reason being iz dat da 4th week o Lent is Laudare Sunday. It iz a Latin word da means 4 us 2 rejoice and giv praise 2 God. We giv praise becauz Lent iz more dan halfway thru and we iz coming ever closer 2 da celebration of Easter (I heard dat dere will b snackos GALORE!). We giv tanks 2 God who iz rich in mercy, because o da great love He haz 4 us even dough we had turned-ed away from Him due 2 our sins. And just as God used da image o da bronze serpent 2 save da Israelites in da desert, Jesus iz lifted up on da cross 4 our sake to save us from sin and death. So as Easter iz getting closer, let us not b disobedient 2 da will o God like doez people in da first reading today but instead recognize dat by virtue o our baptism and living out da life o faith we are o Christian descent and belong 2 God. And dat iz a great ting 2 celebrate!!!
